In the DSA Lil’ Swimmers program, we aim to develop a solid foundation in every lil' one which is important for their mental, emotional, social and physical advancement whilst enhancing the bond between parent and child in the joyful environment of a pool.
Learning to swim with Lil’ Swimmers program can be one of the most rewarding early-childhood experiences. Re-introducing babies to an aquatic environment makes perfect sense for their development, as it is a similar environment to a mother’s womb. People around the world use water for relaxation, play, therapy, health, nourishment and exercise. In water, babies are weightless, and learning though this unique natural element offers a harmonious and joyous experience. Babies can learn to swim months before they can walk, and it’s easier for babies to propel themselves to you in the water, rather than pulling themselves up and walking towards you.
Who’s better to teach your baby to swim than the person they trust? YOU…!!!

We believe parents are baby’s best teachers. Hence, the Lil’ Swimmers program has been uniquely designed to facilitate parents’ involvement in providing the optimal learning environment for babies aged as early as 6 months up to 66 months old. Together with our experienced instructor, parents will be guided to co-create a water-classroom full of positive reinforcement, colours, music, stimulations, laughter and motivation. The Lil’ Swimmers program also aims to give babies the foundation of skills for surface swimming when they are physically ready. The program also covers many safety techniques to prepare babies for any accidents. All teaching is done in a fun, informative way with a child-centered approach, not a goal dominated approach.
The Lil’ Swimmers program has four classes in a month, once a week, 30 minutes per class.
Parent/guardian must always accompany baby at all times in the class/pool. All classes including substitution class are fixed to the ratio of a maximum of 6 pairs of parents/guardians and children to one teacher per class. Parents/guardians who join in a full class will be asked to join the next class, subject to availability.
